Erik ten Hag press conference live Manchester United team news and injury latest vs Fulham

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will look ahead to Friday night's Premier League curtain-raiser against Fulham at Old Trafford when he addresses the media at Carrington this afternoon.

United will be determined to make a winning start to their 2024/25 league campaign and bounce back from last weekend's penalty shootout defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield.

The Reds, who were beaten 2-1 by Fulham in the last meeting between the two clubs, were edged out on spot kicks at Wembley after conceding a late equaliser from Bernardo Silva. Their performance, however, offered plenty of encouragement to take into their league opener.

United could hand debuts to new recruits Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui against the Cottagers after they completed their moves from Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Joshua Zirkzee will also be targeting his first appearance for the club after signing from Bologna last month.

Ten Hag will no doubt be asked why he wanted to add De Ligt and Mazraoui to his squad. He will also be asked to provide the latest on the injury front.
