Erik ten Hag press conference LIVE Manchester United updates and early team news vs Nottingham Forest

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will respond to questions from members of the press at Carrington on Friday.

United welcome Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon and Ten Hag knows the importance of his side claiming three points in that game following a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Tottenham last weekend.

Mason Mount, who picked up a hamstring injury against Spurs, will be unavailable for the visit of Forest and Luke Shaw is also facing a spell on the sidelines for 'a number of weeks' with an unspecified muscle injury.

The club has been rocked by an injury crisis and new striker Rasmus Hojlund remains unavailable with a back problem.

Ten Hag will speak at 1.30pm and he'll preview Forest and answer any questions on Monday's Mason Greenwood announcement.

United fear Luke Shaw could be out for up to two months with a muscular injury.

Although United say Shaw is out for 'a number of weeks' it is understood his injury is worse than first thought.

United are in the market for a left-back due to the potentially lengthy timeframe of Shaw's absence and United are now without a senior out-and-out left-back.
