Erik ten Hag 'phones £34m Manchester United transfer target' as PSG target Old Trafford top earner

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been in direct contact with rumoured target Joshua Zirkzee, according to reports.

Sky Sport Italia has claimed that the Bologna talisman has emerged as United's top target in attack as the Dutchman looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.

The Old Trafford club are looking to improve their forward line this summer, and the 23-year-old has emerged as an option. Zirkzee was a catalyst for the Serie A, as they secured Champions League qualification for the first time since 1964 after contributing 11 goals and five assists.

Speculation suggests that Zirkzee has a €40million (£33m) release clause in his current deal, and his agent, Kia Joorabchian, demands €15million (£12m) on top of that as commission.
