Erik ten Hag might have just dropped a hint at revamped Manchester United tactics
Tuesday denotes the first official day of pre-season for Manchester United with a number of questions set to be answered.
A few have already been addressed. The most obvious is that Erik ten Hag is allowed to stay in his Carrington office for now, while Mason Greenwood has returned for talks over his future.
Jadon Sancho is expected back at base following his loan spell at Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund, despite his ongoing feud with Ten Hag. His future remains unclear with the winger adamant on not apologising.
Meanwhile, United have welcomed two new faces into their headquarters this week. Ruud van Nistelrooy was seen at Carrington on Tuesday, after MEN Sport recently reported that the Dutchman was deciding whether to take up the offer of being a coach at United.

He was snapped driving into United grounds on Tuesday with fellow new arrival Rene Hake. The latter confirmed his imminent move to United last week, with the Go Ahead Eagles boss set to link up with close friend Ten Hag.
Both coaches are cut from the same cloth as Ten Hag when it comes to football philosophy, particularly Hake. His preferred style of play mirrors that of Ten Hag at Ajax, with pressing, possession and potency the main drive.
Hake and Ten Hag formerly worked together at FC Twente and have remained close allies since, the United boss also being an admirer of his counterpart’s work. “(At Twente) he was incredibly driven, ambitious, but also extremely convinced of himself. A trainer who worked very methodically," Ten Hag said last year.
