Where he can improve: Ten Hag has admitted Diogo Dalot is a more capable attacker and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is superior defensively. That's a simplistic assessment of the pair but it's accurate, meaning their respective areas for improvement are obvious. Dalot must polish the defensive side of his game this season and no longer be vulnerable against elite wingers in one-on-one situations.

What is his main aim this season: Dalot lost his starting place after the World Cup and he struggled to reproduce his early season form at the business end of the campaign. He needs to return to those levels because he still considers himself as the first-choice right-back, although he'll have to fight for that role and win it back from the improving Wan-Bissaka.
