Erik ten Hag asked about Jadon Sancho as winger ready to leave Manchester United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag refused to refer to Jadon Sancho by name and stressed he inherited a "no good culture" at the club.

Sancho has been banished by Ten Hag after accusing him of lying in a Twitter post over his decision to drop him from the squad for the 3-1 Premier League defeat at Arsenal.

The 23-year-old will not be considered for selection until United conclude Sancho's disciplinary matter and Sancho is training separately from the first team.

The first three questions of Ten Hag's pre-match press conference for the visit of Brighton centred on Sancho but he overlooked the winger's exile.

Sancho is open to leaving United in the January transfer window if he remains marooned at the club until the New Year.

Sancho has been exiled by United manager Ten Hag and is pending the outcome of a disciplinary issue after accusing the manager of lying over his absence from the matchday squad for the 3-1 Premier League defeat at Arsenal two weeks ago.

Although Sancho has removed the 110-word statement he posted on Twitter, he has not publicly apologised and sources close to the winger believe it may be in Sancho's best interests to move elsewhere.

Borussia Dortmund, where Sancho played for four years, and Nottingham Forest, managed by Sancho's England Under-17 coach Steve Cooper, have been identified as possible options.
