Emmerdale Tom King's next victim 'sealed' after killing Piper - and it's another pet

*Trigger warning: This article contains talk of domestic and animal abuse that some readers may find upsetting

Emmerdale fans are convinced that Tom King is poised to commit another murder following his killing of the much-loved dog, Piper.

Viewers will remember how Tom (played by James Chase) has been tormenting and manipulating his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) for an extended period. However, Belle recently managed to escape his clutches and informed Tom that their marriage was over.

Yet, the malevolent Tom stooped to new depths last week when he took the life of Belle's cherished pet, Piper. Upon seeing the innocent Piper in the middle of the road, Tom deliberately drove his car towards her. In the closing scenes of the episode, a panicked Tom was seen hurrying back to the village with Piper wrapped in a blanket.

Feigning concern for the dog he had just run over, he encountered Belle who was exiting the pub. He then yelled at her, vowing to do everything in his power to save Piper, reports the Express.

However, during Monday's episode (August 19), Tom ended up administering a lethal injection to Piper. Just moments before, an emotional Belle bid farewell to her beloved pet who lay on a vet's bed.

The villainous Tom then prepared the injection that would ultimately end Piper's life. Later, it became evident that Belle had seen through Tom's act and accused him of being responsible for Piper's injuries.

While many viewers were disgusted by Tom's actions, they also suspect that the twisted vet could kill again: another treasured pet, Monty, who is a member of the Dingle family. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, a user pondered: "Are there any pets in Emmerdale left? Or has he killed them all off?"
