ITV Emmerdale 'double exit' as fans 'work out' Tom King is killed and villager sent to prison

Emmerdale fans are predicting Tom King's (portrayed by James Chase) downfall after Friday night's intense episode. Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) confided in Charity (Emma Atkins) about Tom's behaviour, prompting the pub owner to discreetly summon Cain (Jeff Hordley).

While Cain was having a drink at the pub, Charity urgently requested his presence at her place for a chat, cautioning him with: "But Tom cannot know, ok? Not yet."

Later in the show, a distressed Charity posed a question to Cain: "Why didn't we see it? Why did we believe him when he said it was all her?"

Cain, anxious for Belle's safety, implored: "Just tell me she is safe," and upon Charity's affirmative nod, he pressed: "Ok that's good, now just talk to me, Charity. For god's sake tell me!"

Charity solemnly told him: "You have to swear to me because despite how much we want to, we can't kill him," leading Cain to inquire why they would even consider such an action. Charity revealed the extent of Tom's abuse: "Tom has been hurting her, tracking her, spying on her, making her feel like dirt, it is mental and physical, punching her, scolding her hands," reports the Express.

As Cain reacted with shock, Charity shouted: "No" to stop him from acting rashly. "No, no, do you not think I wanted to have a go at him myself in the pub? Because then we will be doing to him what he has been doing to her all along!"

She concluded with a firm directive: "We have only had to hear this, ok, she has had to live it. So we are going to do exactly what she wants us to do and nothing else, do you understand?"

Following a tense conversation, Cain reassured Belle of his belief in her account regarding Tom.
