Emmerdale's Lisa Riley issues clear message over Peter Kay jibe to stand-up show heckler
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley as pleaded for a 'line to be drawn' under her name being dragged into an incident with Peter Kay at one of his recent stand-up gigs.
It has been revealed that the comedian had a number of hecklers ejected from his 'Better Late Than Never... Again!' gig at the AO Arena in Manchester. The Bolton-born comic played the AO Arena on Saturday (February 8).

As security arrived to escort him out, a woman is said to have shouted 'we love you Peter.' "Peter Kay said 'yeah get her out too, I’m enjoying this, who wants her out too?' The woman said that as she was removed, he referenced her Zebra-striped top and compared her to the actress Lisa Riley. The witness said she took this to be a 'derogatory' comment about her weight.
Kay has since explained that the hecklers were ruining the gig for others, saying there comes a point where 'it's no longer fair' to the rest of the audience when he has to deal with hecklers. He also defended himself after likening a woman to Emmerdale star Lisa, saying to Good Morning Britain: "I didn't realise it was an insult. She did look remarkably like Lisa Riley, I didn't realise that was an insult."
Now, Lisa has had her say. In a message posted to Instagram and to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Bury-born soap star, famed for playing Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, said: "PLEASE draw a line under this now. I am not offended, never was
