ITV Emmerdale fans 'heartbroken' as star confirms they've quit the Dales

Emmerdale fans have had a dramatic start to their week after two separate limo crashes put their favourite villagers at risk of suffering from deadly consequences.

On Monday (17th February) the aftermath of both accidents unfolded, with the boys' limo causing no major injuries, Caleb took out his frustration on Cain as he threw several punches at him for sleeping with Ruby and then lying about it.

It was a different story for the girls' limo, however, as they realised they were stuck on a frozen lake as they tried to navigate how to escape and get to safety.

Charity, who was driving the limo, veered off the road at the last second as she noticed Noah Dingle wandering around lost and confused on his own. The group comforted each other as they made the decision of who should walk over the ice first.

Unfortunately, Suzy was badly injured in the crash and Liam pronounced her dead at the scene as he carefully examined her.

Martelle Edinborough joined the ITV soap in 2022 and was introduced as the new love interest for Vanessa. While the couple had their ups and downs, they became a well-liked addition to the village.

Some fans theorised that Suzy wouldn't actually be dead and Liam made the mistake due to his own head injury. However, the actress took to her social media to confirm her character will be leaving.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), she wrote: "And just like that….Suzy is no more and a new chapter begins!! What an ep! It’s been such a blessing to have been a part of such an iconic show that I grew up on and loved by so many!!"
