Emmerdale's Amy star says 'time is playing a trick' in five-year message

Emmerdale star Natalie Ann Jamieson has joked that 'time is playing a trick' as she marked a milestone. The actress, who plays Amy Wyatt in the ITV soap, was marking five years since she first appeared in the fictional Yorkshire village.

Amy actually debuted on-screen in October 2010, then played by Chelsea Halfpenny. At the time she was central to many main storylines - including blackmail, one-night stands, heavy drinking and robberies - as the Dales' rebellious teenager who was fostered by Eric Pollard and his late wife Val.

One of her biggest storylines, however, was when she fell pregnant with Cain Dingle's child. But Chelsea announced her departure from Emmerdale in October 2013, and had left by mid-November the same year. The character was then reintroduced in March 2019, with Natalie in the role.

Marking her first appearance in the soap, Natalie shared pictures of her playing Amy in the previously mentioned confrontation with the unknown man to Instagram. "Five years
