Nick Saban Is Sending His Own Emails For The First Time In His 72 Years Of Life

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban (it still feels weird to type that) has done a lot in the 72 years and changed that he has been on this Earth. However, sending an email was not one of them.

At least not until very recently.

On Tuesday, ESPN published a piece detailing Saban's life after he shocked the college football world with his retirement announcement.

According to his wife of over 50 years, Terry, the legendary coach is doing some everyday activities for the very first time.

"He's actually texting and reading his own emails and sent his first-ever email," Terry said. "He even took his first trip to the pharmacy to pick up his first prescription. He's actually quite proud of himself."

Whoa.

It's easy to be all, "Old man Saban's out of touch," but I think we need to stop and appreciate the unbelievable no-emailing iron man streak Nick Saban just wrapped up.

Going that long without sending an email is incredible. I mean, how did he not even accidentally send an email? I've met Amish people who sent emails before Nick Saban.

It reminds me of Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay's no-eggs streak. 

Bizarre? Yes.

Impressive? Also yes.

As for the pharmacy, good on Nick for wanting to give that a go. I think he could've put that one off for at least another decade, but, nope, he wanted to give it the ol' college try.
