Emmerdale fans say Wendy and Liam affair scenes are making them 'feel sick'

Emmerdale fans have branded the soap's latest affair storyline as "cringey" - with some saying it made them "feel sick". Scenes in Tuesday's (July 4) episode of the ITV soap saw GP Liam and nurse Wendy give into their passion for each other once again.

One scene saw Wendy suggesting Liam rub her shoulders again. "I thought you couldn't concentrate?" he asked her. She responded seductively: "Well maybe I don't want to."

Later, Liam emerged panting from behind a sofa, clad in a vest and buttoning up his shirt. He asked a breathless Wendy: "So, did you have any notes on that? We could always try for a second draft."

The couple became close a few months ago after Liam began submitting short stories to Murder Most Murky, a bi-annual murder mystery publication. But it seems viewers have not yet been won over by their pairing.
