Emergency services scrambled as officers tape off residential road following police incident - latest updates

A road in Failsworth has been taped off due to an ongoing police incident. Dean Street has been cordoned off close to the Metrolink stop, with officers pictured at the scene.

It is understood that emergency services have been at the scene since around 3pm today, with investigations into the incident still ongoing.

Pictures taken from the scene show police tape blocking off the road, with a police car in attendance at the junction with Hardman Lane near the Bricklayers Arms pub.
