Emergency services scrambled after plane 'crashes into garden' in Anglesey

Police, fire crews and paramedics are currently responding to a plane crash in Anglesey.

The light aircraft crashed close to a residential area, believed to be a garden, in Bodffordd near Llangefni at around 1.45pm on Saturday (February 10).

Officers say a male pilot, the only occupant of the aircraft, was rushed to hospital by air ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported from the scene.

Emergency services are asking people to avoid the area, North Wales Live reports. North Wales Police said: "Officers are currently attending an incident in the Cae Bach Aur area of Llangefni.

"Fire and ambulance crews are also in attendance. We ask that the public please avoid the area whilst we remain at the scene."

One witness, Dave Roberts told NorthWalesLive: "It took off, the engine started spluttering and then it started to nose dive whilst spinning and it disappeared out of site."
