Elden Ring: How to farm 80,000 Runes

Elden Ring is one of the best reviewed games of all time and a new unlock has been found in the huge From Software epic, allowing you to pick up 80,000 runes in a very simple way; let us explain how.

The game has so many secrets and easter eggs, that you are basically told to go out into the world and explore.

And a new exploit has been found that allows you to farm an obscene amount of runes, regardless of how far into the game you are.

The exploit has been posted by Gamespot but you’ll have to engage in some really morally dubious behaviour.

Basically, you need to kill a sleeping dragon; it won’t wake up, so think about what you’re doing to the poor resting animal.

We’ve put together a guide on how to pick up the runes, which would allow you to level up a significant amount, regardless of your current level.

So, first of all, we have to say that this is a rune farm, which is technically an exploit, but it’s in the game, and it’s available for players to use.

Now, we should say before this starts off that we don’t know what the consequences of doing this are. It may be that, down the line, there are some consequences from killing this dragon. We can’t say for sure, so tread carefully.

Now, what you need to do is take yourself off to Fort Faroth, which is in Caelid. It’s east of Limgrave, the opening area in the game.

Now, as Gamespot have laid out, you need to follow the road out of Summonwater Village. Then you want to go north-east to the smoldering church, south-east to Caelum Ruins, south to Caelid Waypoint Ruins, East to Sellia Gateway, and then north-east to Fort Faroth.

The fort has a Site of Grace just outside it, so you can easily restart if anything goes wrong.

Once you’re there, you get a choice.
