Eddie Hearn's cheeky reaction to Jake Paul being booed by fans

There has been much speculation about the relationship between YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.

The latter had a priceless reaction after Paul was heavily booed by the crowd in New York following Katie Taylor’s victory against Amanda Serrano – he just couldn’t help but smile.

The Irish boxer continued her winning streak and retained the undisputed lightweight title after she won by split decision – the fight lived up to expectations.

The fight was an exhilarating affair and shone a light of women’s boxing as a sport – the two fighters were the first two women to headline a boxing event at Madison Square Garden.

Following the fight, Jake Paul shared his views about the fight alongside Hearn and it was at this point that he was met with a flurry of boos from the crowd.

In the interview, Paul was certain that Serrano, who is managed by his company Most Valuable Promotions, fought well enough to earn the win.

“It was a draw at best; we thought we won, we thought Amanda won. Amanda performed amazing and fought a fight of a lifetime,” Paul muttered whilst being drowned out by the crowd.

“That as incredible; both women fought their hearts out and this was a historic moment. The crowd is booing but everyone is a winner her tonight and I’d be mad too if I was them.”

Paul acknowledged the boos and as per usual embraced them, whilst fellow promoter Hearn may have seen the funny side more than Paul did.
