The reason Jake Paul won't fight Mike Tyson has been revealed by one of his sparring partners

Jake Paul‘s potential fight with Mike Tyson won’t happen as they have ‘too much mutual respect’ for each other, according to his sparring partner Anthony Taylor.

The American YouTuber turned boxer, 25, announced he will make his boxing return on August 13.

Paul – who is the younger brother of Logan Paul – last boxed in December of last year beating ex-UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in their rematch in Tampa, Florida.

But Taylor, who has sparred both Jake and Logan, and previously fought his rival Tommy Fury the younger brother of Tyson Fury, doesn’t believe it will be ‘Iron Mike’ next.

Speaking to MyBettingSites, the Bellator MMA fighter said: “I think Jake Paul and Canelo will happen, I don’t think it’s just hype.

“I mean, we’re talking about Jake in three years from now of course, not right now.

“Jake is good, but imagine how much better he’ll get in three years from today. He’s only going to get better. He’s only going forward.

“Jake will be ten times better than Jake Paul of today. And he would be competitive. Canelo will be a Hall of Famer, but give Jake a few years.

“Jake’s a bigger guy, taller, longer than Canelo, but we can’t disregard Canelo’s skill set. Now Jake is still learning in this game. But give him a few years.

“I really don’t see Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fighting just because they’re very good friends.

“They have too much mutual respect between them to be involved in having a fight.

“Maybe I’m missing something, maybe they are going to fight, but I just don’t really see Mike going in there any time soon with Jake, I would be surprised.”

GiveMeSport recently reported how Paul co-promoted Katie Taylor‘s historic clash with Amanda Serrano in New York with Eddie Hearn – which divided boxing
