Ebuehi ruled out of Super Eagles’ friendly games against Ghana, Mali

Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi will miss the friendly games against Ghana and Mali due to injury.

Ebuehi picked up the injury in Empoli’s Serie A game against Bologna on Friday.

He was introduced into the game in the 66th minute as Empoli went on to lose the game 1-0 courtesy of a 94th minute goal by Bologna.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is yet to announce a replacement for Ebuehi.

Ebuehi’s last match for Empoli was his 15th appearance in the Serie A this season.

He missed the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire due to injury.

Nigeria will take on Ghana on 22 March before facing Mali on 26 March. Both friendly games will be played in Marrakech, Morocco.
