Ebbsfleet United sign former Manchester City, Colchester United and Eastbourne Borough defender Camron Gbadebo from Salisbury

Ebbsfleet boss Josh Wright has made his second summer signing.

Wright has completed a deal with centre-back Camron Gbadebo, who joins from fellow National League South side Salisbury.

Gbadebo adds to the Fleet’s defensive options, with Tom Dallison and Max Ehmer leaving the club this summer. The futures of fellow defenders Jamie Fielding and Mustapha Olagunju, who were both offered new deals at the end of the season, are yet to be confirmed.

The 23-year-old spent time at Leicester City and Manchester City, where he spent two seasons before completing a permanent move to Colchester in January 2022.

After spells with Wingate & Finchley, Marske United and Workington, he joined Eastbourne Borough in December 2023. Gbadebo established himself at National League South level when he helped Eastbourne Borough to a top-three finish in 2024/25.

He started this season at Eastbourne but departed for Salisbury in December and helped the Whites to 10 clean sheets in his four months at the Ray Mac Stadium.

Gbadebo is the second new face to arrive at Stonebridge Road this summer, with the Fleet already completing a move for Brentwood Town forward Danny Ogunleye.
