Ebbsfleet manager Josh Wright has vowed his team won’t be left wondering in the National League South run-in.
The Fleet have entered the final quarter of their campaign and remain well-placed to secure a play-off spot, even if a draw-heavy February has all-but-ended their title ambitions.
Wright wants his team to show a ruthless streak in their final 11 matches, starting at home to Torquay this Saturday, and insisted his team selections will be full of attacking options.
“We’ll give it everything we’ve got,” stated Wright. “We won’t be sitting on any fences.
“We’ll be going full tilt with everything to go and get three points in every single game.
“That’s what we did last Saturday, we threw on nearly every single attacking player we could, we obviously had to put Ben Coker on to go to the back four.
“But so much of my pre-match team talk was all about blowing them away, getting an early goal, starting fast and aggressive was my shout which we did but we need to be more ruthless.”
Asked how many points the Fleet will need in the final 11 games, Wright responded: “We’ve got our own inside targets, and we know what we probably need for each goal.
“We’ve got our goals. I think it’s going to be a bit of a freakish year in terms of the total points of what you’re going to need to win it and what you’re going to need in the play-offs, but all we can do is take care of the next game.
“We can’t look further than the next game so the next game is now Torquay on Saturday which we’ve got a free week to go into and that’s all we can do, keep looking towards the next game.
“It’s about us. We’ve got to focus on how we’re going to beat them and that’s exactly what we’ll do.”
