Ebbsfleet United manager Josh Wright impressed with the character of goalkeeper Matt Hall and praises goalkeeping coach Kyri Neocleous for his impact
Ebbsfleet boss Josh Wright praised the character of keeper Matt Hall - and the man who works closest with him.
Hall came under fire after a second-half blunder helped Dorking come from behind to beat the Fleet last weekend.
But he showed great determination to bounce back on Tuesday night in the 3-2 win at Maidenhead.
He looked on course for a welcome clean sheet but then conceded twice in stoppage time - only to produce a last-gasp save to deny the hosts an unlikely equaliser.
It must have been a tough few days for Hall but Wright revealed the support he received from Ebbsfleet goalkeeping coach Kyri Neocleous.
“I got my goalkeeping coach to really get around him,” said Wright.
“I reached out to him (Matty) at the right time on Sunday, and then he came in, he was buoyant, and he worked.
“The goalkeeping coach, Kyri, has done really well since he's been in the building, and he's a good character, Kyri. He's a great man, he knows what he's talking about, and he's a good people person.
“He's got around Matty, the boys have, the club has, the team has, and he's a great character, Matty, and he'll only improve and be stronger from it.”
Wright admitted Hall, who joined the Fleet from AFC Totton earlier this season, deserves plenty of credit for the way he bounced back from the weekend low.
“It was the manner of the defeat on Saturday,” added Wright. “You go to the league leaders who are formidable at home, lost one game at home all year, you're 1-0 up at half-time and you've got something to hang on to.
“We talk at half-time, and it completely goes out the window in terms of what happened.
“Matty would have felt as low as anyone, and he's reacted (on Tuesday night). He pulled off a massive save at the end.
“But his all-round
