Maidenhead United 2 Ebbsfleet United 3 match report: Josh Coley, Toby Edser and Kwesi Appiah score in National League South win

Ebbsfleet delivered the perfect response to those questioning their promotion credentials on Tuesday night - despite a bizarre end.

The Fleet are up to fourth in National League South after a commanding performance against a Maidenhead side who started the day above them in the table.

Ebbsfleet made two changes from the side beaten at Dorking Wanderers on Saturday.

Gene Kennedy and Josh Coley are in for Ben Coker and Kwesi Appiah.

Maidenhead also made two changes from their side at the weekend when they were 1-0 winners at Eastbourne Borough.

The Fleet went ahead on 33 minutes when Ben Chapman delivered a perfect left-wing cross and Coley arrived to head home from close range for his third goal of the season.

Hall was called into action in the first 30 seconds of the second half when he did well to deny Umerah and then saved the follow-up effort with his feet.
