Ebbsfleet United chairman Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi resigns as chairman and director and is replaced by his cousin

Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi has resigned as Ebbsfleet United chairman - but the club insist it’s business as usual.

Dr Abdulla has been in the role for more than 10 years but was declared bankrupt by London’s High Court last month.

“Dr Abdulla will continue to be as involved and passionate in watching the team from the directors’ box as he has been across the past decade and the club thanks the Al-Humaidi family for their continued and unwavering commitment to EUFC.”

Under Dr Abdulla’s stewardship, Ebbsfleet twice won promotion from National League South. They were promoted via the play-offs after beating
