Ebbsfleet United boss Dennis Kutrieb says he rejected offers to manage elsewhere in favour of contact extension at Stonebridge Road

Manager Dennis Kutrieb has revealed he turned down offers from other English clubs to stay at Ebbsfleet.

The Fleet boss has signed a contract extension to remain at Stonebridge Road until 2024.

But, having set his heart on staying in England, the 42-year-old German wanted to remain loyal to Fleet chief executive Damian Irvine despite interest from elsewhere.

The pair enjoy a great working relationship and Kutrieb knows it would be hard to replicate that bond.

“I’d already said to clubs in Germany that I wasn’t available,” added Kutrieb.

“I want to manage in England again next season - that was the first decision to make, with my missus and son.

"Coming over from Germany two years ago to work in England was something that drove me.

“It was not an easy decision at the time to make the move, but two years on I know I have made the right
