DWP £600 Winter Fuel Payments to start arriving in bank account in days

Millions of households across the UK will soon begin receiving up to £600 from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to help afford heating bills this winter.

The Winter Fuel Payment is set to begin arriving in bank accounts from November 1, according to the government. Eligible recipients could get between £250 and £600 in total. The payment includes the Pensioner Cost of Living Payment which on its own is worth up to £300.

The government is issuing extra cash for this year's Winter Fuel Payment in response to the cost of living crisis. Many may have already received a letter telling them how much they will get. Letters will continue to be issued throughout the rest of October and November.
