Duk agent bites back at Aberdeen FC 'misinformation' as Neil Warnock told he doesn't know whole story

Duk's agent has hit back at Neil Warnock after suggestions the Aberdeen striker had been given 'bad advice' before he took over at Pittodrie.

The Portuguese forward's form has tailed off this season and saw Young Boys and Leganes both fail with bids to sign him in the January window. He hadn't started for the club since late December but was thrown in from the start against Bonnyrigg Rose in the Scottish Cup by new boss Warnock. Asked about the striker, Warnock stressed the need to put an arm round him - and appeared to take a swipe at his representatives by suggesting he'd been given bad advice.

But his agent Carlos Oliveira has now moved to shoot Warnock's claims down. Claiming the 75-year-old may have been 'misinformed,' he told Football Scotland: "We appreciate the words the new Aberdeen coach had, at least for the media, about Duk. We don't think he's had enough time to realise what's really happened since the start of the 2023/24 season. Maybe he's been misinformed by people at the club."

Warnock had said: “He knows he is here now the window has been closed. He might have had bad advice before I came in. He is training really well. I think you have to put an arm around him. He is a genuine kid and I am sure between now and the end of the season he will score a few goals. Some of the things he does in training are amazing. Let’s hope he can do that on the pitch.”
