Dubai camps and training with Manchester United rivals - how Man City players have prepared for pre-season return

After an 11-month season, Manchester City players have enjoyed a well-earned month off to celebrate winning the treble at the end of a gruelling campaign.

Jack Grealish went to Las Vegas and Ibiza, Aymeric Laporte and Bernardo Silva got married to their partners in lavish ceremonies, and Ederson went to Abu Dhabi on a family holiday. Towards the end of the summer, City teammates Kevin De Bruyne and Nathan Ake went away on a trip with Ake's Netherlands teammate Virgil Van Dijk.

With players returning to the City Football Academy on Monday ahead of the pre-season tour to Japan and South Korea later in the week, some members of the squad have been getting some work in to get back up to speed ahead of the fitness tests they will go through this week.

Taking to social media, a number of players showed themselves getting some fitness work in over the last few days - some training with fellow professionals, including rivals from Manchester United.

Grealish is a player who gets more attention for his summer activities than others, but he has worked to ensure that he will be in top condition on his return by getting some personal training work under his belt in Dubai. Posting on Instagram, Grealish showed off his work with a coach, saying: "Good few days out in Dubai training."

Also taking to Instagram was Ruben Dias, who gave an insight into his mindset ahead of the new campaign. He posted a video of himself doing strength work in the gym, saying: "Nothing lasts forever… we go again!"
