Drew McIntyre reacts to fans backlash over WWE WrestleMania 38 match
Drew McIntyre has taken to Twitter to comment on the fan backlash to his WrestleMania match with Happy Corbin.
It was announced by WWE on Thursday that The Scottish Warrior’s rivalry with Corbin will culminate in a match on WrestleMania Saturday, April 2.
However, many fans have been disappointed with the news of the pair’s clash. Feeling that there should be a ‘bigger’ spot for McIntyre, having challenged for the WWE Championship at the last two WrestleMania shows.
In response to the reaction, McIntyre took to social media to tell fans he can’t wait to finally get his hands on Corbin – even if he only found about himself after WWE announced it on their Twitter account.
“I’ve seen your responses and I appreciate the support. I’m in this industry to win titles and be in marquee fights, my time will come again.
“Corbin is a hell of a competitor, however he’s proved to be about as smart as he is funny picking a fight with me.”

McIntyre and Corbin were set to clash on last week’s SmackDown, but the former King of the Ring backed out of the bout, sending cohort Madcap Moss in is place instead. Their feud began in December, when Corbin and Moss’ attack on the former WWE Champion wrote him off TV while he dealt with a neck injury.
Drew returned at the Royal Rumble to eliminate both Corbin and Moss before going on to defeat Madcap Moss at both Day 1 and the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Events.
