'Draconian' plans to clamp down on supporters' buses set to be scrapped in major SPFL fans victory

Draconian measures to curb Scottish fans travelling to away matches on supporters buses are set to be scrapped after a vicious backlash.

In a consultation document published in Westminster last week titled ‘Guidelines for taking passengers to sporting events in Scotland’ measures to to impose limits on buses carrying fans to games to north of the border were proposed. The suggestions included preventing buses from parking within 10 MILES of the ground and severely impact the matchday experience.

Fans would also be unable to buy alcohol at pubs pre game unless it was served with a "substantial meal". The proposals were widely slammed across the game, with the Scottish FA, SPFL, SWPL along with Celtic and Rangers voicing their opposal to them. But in a major victory for the SPFL, the plans are being walked back after an extremely negative reaction forced the traffic commissioner into an embarrassing climbdown.

Now according to the Scottish Daily Mail, those plans are to be scrapped after 'major backlash'. It's good news for fans who all united in condemnation of the proposals.
