Donny van de Beek in talks to leave as Manchester United focus on clearout
Manchester United are in discussions with Real Sociedad about the permanent sale of Donny van de Beek.
Van de Beek, 26, has struggled since he joined United in a £40million deal three years ago and he has only started six Premier League games for the club. Van de Beek has scored two goals in 60 games for United.
The Dutchman started in the friendly against Athletic Bilbao in Dublin on Sunday but he was the only player to be substituted at half time.
United regard any more incomings as bonuses that are largely dependent on outgoings.

Nottingham Forest remain keen to sign Dean Henderson, with United still in negotiations over a possible loan deal with an obligation to buy. United would want the fee for Henderson by January so they are able to comply with the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules.
Sources say interest in Fred has cooled but Fulham remain open to signing the Brazilian midfielder. Fred, 30, did not travel on United's pre-season tour due to a personal issue and was not involved in the friendlies with Lens and Athletic Bilbao over the weekend. Galatasaray did not submit an acceptable offer for Fred.
Eric Bailly is not in United manager Erik ten Hag's plans and is generating interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Bailly will be released next year if he remains at United beyond the January transfer window.
Tom Heaton is unlikely to be allowed to leave amid the probability of Henderson's departure. Luton Town and Hull City had enquired about Heaton, 37, but Ten Hag values his experience and he could be United's number two goalie behind Andre Onana this season.
