'Don't tell no one... don't call the police', rapist hissed after she begged 'please don't kill me'

A rapist committed a ‘horrific’ violent sexual attack on a child while on bail for another allegation of rape. Kofi Taylor has now been jailed for life after leaving his victim ‘in terror’.

Taylor, from Salford, let himself into the girl’s home before she was woken up and repeatedly raped, Manchester Crown Court heard. He punched her several times during the ordeal, which lasted for up to 90 minutes.

Crack cocaine addict Taylor, 48, who was previously jailed for a decade for raping a man in the 1990s, was on bail at the time for a separate allegation of rape, which he was ultimately cleared of. A judge jailed Taylor for life after ruling he will ‘always’ pose a risk of danger.

He was ordered to serve a minimum of more than 11 years in prison before he can be considered for release. “You put her in terror,” Judge Nicholas Dean KC, the Honorary Recorder of Manchester, told him.

“What you did was brutal, it was a brutal attack on a child. It is not the first time you have acted in a brutal fashion.” Prosecutors told how the attack happened in 2021 at the victim’s home in Trafford.

Taylor gained access to the property ‘uninvited’ before launching the attack. The girl, who was under 16, screamed out as Taylor raped her on multiple occasions, and repeatedly punched her to the face causing her to bleed. “Please don’t kill me,” she begged him at one stage.

“You don’t tell no-one, don’t call the police,” Taylor told her. The court heard that his victim’s mental and physical health has ‘deteriorated’ following her ordeal.
