Disney+ to shake up UK subscription prices from November - with cheaper plan introduced
Disney+ has announced a subscription shake-up coming this winter - including the introduction of an advert-supported plan.
There is currently only one subscription plan available in the UK, priced at £7.99 a month or £79.90 a year if paid upfront. This will remain at the same price but will be named the 'standard plan'. From November 1, two more options will be rolled out- one will be cheaper than the current plan, while the other will be more expensive.
The 'standard with ads' plan will cost £4.99 a month and will allow users to have two streams ongoing at the same time. Meanwhile the new 'premium' plan, priced at £10.99 a month or £109.90 annually, allows up to four concurrent streams at once and offers better video and audio quality than the standard with ads and the standard plans.

The advert tier was rolled out in the US in December last year. It will begin in the UK, as well as a selection of other European countries, from November 1.
Current subscribers will automatically have their subscriptions upgraded to the more expensive Disney+ Premium option. However they will have the option to switch to the £7.99 a month standard plan or the £4.99 a month standard with ads plan.
Existing customers who choose not to switch will be billed the new price starting from their next billing cycle on or after December 6.
