'Disgraceful performance' - Rangers podcaster slams one man in Dundee United game

A Glasgow Rangers podcaster has been left slamming the performance of referee Bobby Madden in their draw at Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership.

It is so tight at the top of the table between the Gers and Celtic, that the former simply cannot afford to drop any more silly points from now until the end of the season, if they want to retain their SPFL title.

Off the back of a memorable 4-2 win away at Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Europa League in midweek, Giovanni van Bronckhorst would have been hoping for his team to gain some momentum going into this lunchtime’s match, but instead had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Taking to Twitter, The 4th Official, a respected podcaster who regularly breaks Ibrox news and updates on their official Twitter page, slammed the display of ref Madden during the clash:

“This is a disgraceful performance from Bobby Madden.”

This is certainly not the first time that Madden has been scrutinised for his refereeing performances in the division, and not just against the Teddy Bears.

Dundee manager James McPake was critical of Madden’s decisions against his team earlier on this season, while Celtic fans have voiced their frustrations over him many times.

In today’s fixture, BBC pundit Derek Ferguson thought that the Light Blues should have been given a penalty in the first half, claiming that Madden may come up with an excuse as to why he did not give it.

Nonetheless, Madden’s decisions throughout the game could well have cost RFC two precious points in the title race.
