Dion Sanderson sends message to QPR fans after making bow in club’s victory over Reading

Queens Park Rangers defender Dion Sanderson has taken to Twitter to praise the club’s fans for the support that they illustrated during yesterday’s clash with Reading.

Sanderson was handed his R’s debut by Mark Warburton in the second-half of this clash as his side cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Royals at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Signed on a temporary basis from Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month, the defender helped his side keep a clean-sheet against Reading by producing an assured cameo display in this particular fixture.

Lyndon Dykes netted a brace for QPR in the first-half of yesterday’s meeting before Luke Amos scored QPR’s third goal of the game in the 37th minute.

Following the break, Jimmy Dunne planted a header past Reading goalkeeper Luke Southwood.

Sanderson was brought on as a replacement for Lee Wallace as Warburton opted to prevent the possibility of the defender picking up a second yellow card in this fixture.

After making his bow for QPR against Reading, Sanderson took to Twitter to send a message to the club’s supporters.

The defender posted: “Happy to have come on and made my debut, the lads was outstanding, the fans were class. Come on you R’s.”
