Didsbury crash: Car smashes through front of sushi restaurant with police at scene

Police are at the scene of a crash after a car smashed into the front of a restaurant.

Images show extensive damage to the front of Zumuku sushi restaurant in Lapwing Lane, Didsbury.

Officers are at the scene and a car has been placed within a taped off cordon.

Glass can be seen to be scattered around the front of the car, and over the pavement and inside the front of the restaurant.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 2.55pm today, officers responded to reports of a car crashing into a premises on Lapwing Lane, Manchester.

At least one person received minor injuries. No injuries sustained are believed to life-changing or threatening. No arrests have been made."
