Deontay Wilder's seven-word message to UFC's Francis Ngannou will excite boxing fans

Deontay Wilder and Francis Ngannou are two of the biggest names in combat sports, with the Bronze Bomber one of the most well-known heavyweights out there today and Ngannou is the current heavyweight champion in the UFC, there’s plenty of firepower between them!

The Bronze Bomber has spent almost a year away from the ring after his back-to-back high profile losses to Tyson Fury.

The first fight between the pair ended in a draw despite Wilder managing to seemingly knock Tyson Fury out, he miraculously carried on the fight and managed to battle his way to a draw.

After that, he lost via technical knockout in Vegas to the Gypsy King who cemented his place as the heavyweight to beat, setting up a blockbuster all British clash with Anthony Joshua for the undisputed tag in the heavyweight division.

Wilder had other ideas, triggering the contracted third and final fight with Fury, refusing to step aside for large sums of money. It was the same story for Wilder, who did have his opponent down twice in the fourth round, but after being down in rounds three, 10 and 11, he was eventually knocked out by Fury.

He’s clearly still in training however, despite his long absence from the ring. Frank Warren claims we will see the Bronze Bomber again in October to take on Robert Helenius, although that fight isn’t officially confirmed as of yet.

On the other hand, Ngannou is the supreme heavyweight fighter in the UFC, having a defence of his belt notched up already.

Dana White has confirmed that his next fight will see him take on a debutant in the heavyweight division, Jon Jones. However, he also said that Jones could take on Stipe Miocic.

The heavyweight champion was recently filmed at Wilder’s gym, watching him train for his next fight
