UFC 278: Leon Edwards dethrones Kamaru Usman with insane head kick KO

Leon Edwards is the NEW UFC welterweight champion.

‘Rocky’ lived up to his nickname by knocking out Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC 278 in Salt Lake City in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He became the first British MMA fighter since Michael Bisping himself to win a UFC championship as a result.

Edwards had some success in the first round but it was pretty much one way traffic after that.

That is until he delivered a high kick from hell that left the former champion staring up at the ceiling with just over a minute left on the clock.

You really couldn’t write it. What a performance from Edwards.

Even the commentators could hardly believe what they had just witnessed.
