Phoenix Suns bring back former player

News has revealed that the Phoenix Suns and forward Ish Wainright have reached an agreement on a two-way contract.

Alongside guard Duane Washington Jr., Wainright makes a second visit to the Suns as part of a two-way deal. Wainright would need to sign a conventional contract if he wanted to play for Phoenix the following season because league regulations only allow players to sign two-way contracts with the same team twice.

Wainright had a 2.4 point and 1.2 rebound average in 47 games as a rookie. Wainright is an important player during general manager James Jones’ tenure as he represents Phoenix’s first two-way contract success.
