Declan Rice: West Ham midfielder reveals what his WWE entrance theme would be

West Ham United star Declan Rice has revealed what his entrance theme would be if he were a WWE Superstar.

The England midfielder has made no secret of his WWE fandom over the years, from challenging team-mate Mason Mount to a steel cage match, playing homage to Edge by performing spears during England training and even receiving a special message from Triple H urging him to stay at the London Stadium.

Now the 23-year-old has chosen what music he would use if he ever had his own WWE theme song. Speaking to Gary Neville on The Overlap, the Hammers star plumped for some British grime as his music of choice.

“Something aggressive. Something like Stormzy, something to get it going.”

Shying away from The Hammers famous anthem I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, Rice chose something by British rapper Stormzy, a favourite among footballers.

Rice is the latest in a long line of footballers who have followed WWE, most famously Wayne Rooney, who was involved in an on-screen altercation with Wade Barrett during a Raw UK show in 2015. Other notable WWE fans include Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, David Wheater, Jose Mourinho and Grant Holt – who turned his hand to wrestling upon his retirement.

WWE has also seen two former football stars’ almost make the grade as Superstars with former Port Vale goalie Stuart Tomlinson appearing in NXT as Hugo Knox and German keeper Tim Wiese. Who teamed with Sheamus and Cesaro during a 2016 live event in Munich.
