Declan Rice gives clearest hint yet on West Ham future amid Manchester United transfer interest

Declan Rice has seemed to indicate what his intentions are for next season, amid plenty of interest in his services.

The England international — who picked up West Ham’s Hammer of the Year for a second time on Monday — is on the radar Manchester United this summer. Erik ten Hag is expected to revamp United's midfield when he arrives at Old Trafford with the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic leaving next month.

West Ham boss David Moyes has been adamant Rice is not for sale, the club slapping a £150m price tag on their star man. And it seems the player’s intention is to stay on too, judging by his latest comments.

West Ham enjoyed a memorable European journey this season, reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League when they were beaten by Eintracht Frankfurt. Rice commented on their run when receiving Monday’s award, admitting he is “ready to go again” next season.

He told club media : "We've proved that we can play in big European games and our fans and our stadium have shown we can handle those big European nights, and that's what we want more of.

"I'm proud of the lads because we're not the biggest of squads… but in the end we've had a great year and we're ready to go again."

West Ham club legend Mark Noble is retiring at the end of the campaign. And Rice gave tribute to his guidance and quality, while seemingly reaffirming his intention that he will be at the London Stadium next term

He added: “I can honestly say if he wasn't here I wouldn't have done as well as I have done, on and off the pitch.

"It's going to be tough next year without him. It's been an absolute honour to play with him."
