Dean Henderson 'proposal made' for Nottingham Forest transfer and more Manchester United gossip

Dean Henderson's move away from Manchester United to Nottingham Forest could now be a loan deal with an obligation to buy, according to reports.

The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at the City Ground away from United. He made a good impression at Forest and Steve Cooper's side want him back in the East Midlands.

Forest have already brought one United player to Nottingham in the form of attacker Anthony Elanga this summer. He might soon be joined by Henderson.

The goalkeeper is currently with United on their pre-season tour of the United States. However, with Andre Onana joining United this summer from Inter Milan as David de Gea's replacement, Henderson's chances of being United's next number one is very much up in the air.

It has previously been reported by the Manchester Evening News that Forest are willing to pay up to £30m for Henderson's services this summer. However, according to the Telegraph and Sky Sports, the deal could now be a loan move instead with an obligation to buy at the end of it.

Elsewhere, Galatasaray continue to hold an interest in United midfielder Fred and are prepared to increase their offer for the Brazilian international. The Turkish side have offered €8m, but according to Fanatik are now prepared to offer €10m including bonuses.

Fred has a year left to run on his United contract and is among several squad players who could be sold to raise funds this summer. Fellow Premier League side Fulham have also expressed an interest in the midfielder.
