Dean Henderson move in doubt as Nottingham Forest 'consider alternative' and more Man United transfer rumours
Dean Henderson's proposed move to Nottingham Forest has been cast into doubt as the Midlands side are 'considering' a move for Arsenal's Matt Turner, according to reports.
Henderson spent last season on loan at the City Ground and though his season was cut short to injury Forest have been expected to sign the goalkeeper once again. The United academy graduate is expected to leave Old Trafford after burning bridges with the club in an explosive interview last year and due to being surplus to requirements.
Andre Onana has been signed as the new No.1 to replace the departed David de Gea, Tom Heaton is currently second choice while a move for promising youngster Zion Suzuki is still a possibility. Henderson grew frustrated in 2021 after he wasn't given the starting berth promised to him by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and wants to play regularly.
MEN Sport reported in June that Henderson was convinced he will join Nottingham Forest permanently and was perplexed by suggestions he could stay at United. A delay to the move was put down to United's need to resolve their goalkeeper situation before he was allowed to leave but now his move to Forest has been cast into doubt.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Forest have turned their attention to Arsenal's Turner and have asked for the 'final conditions' of a deal. It's added that Forest will only sign one goalkeeper this summer and it's between Henderson and the American.
However, The Athletic adds that Forest are looking to make two goalkeeping additions and that there is still a 'distance' between the two clubs in their valuations.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have reportedly swooped in to sign Monaco defender Axel Diasi.
