David Turnbull and Kyogo in Celtic Europa Conference League squad as three new signings make the cut

There’s a double injury boost for Celtic as David Turnbull and Kyogo Furuhashi were included in the club's Europa Conference League squad.

Turnbull has been out of action since damaging his hamstring against Hibs on December 19.

The Japanese star has been missing since Boxing Day with a similar issue and has now missed the last six matches.

However, Turnbull and Furuhashi have been named in Celtic’s UEFA squad for the play-off round clash with Norwegians Bodo/Glimt with the first leg at Celtic Park on February 17.

Celtic have won all six games while Kyogo has been missing but after blasting 16 goals in 32 matches, Ange Postecoglou will be delighted to have his main goal-scorer back.

There is no place for countryman Yosuke Ideguchi who has not been seen since the Alloa Scottish Cup tie on January 22 when he was injured in a challenge by Mouhamed Niang who was subsequently given a two-match ban.

Ismaila Soro has also been given the chop despite the fact that he came on as a sub in last week’s thumping win over Rangers.

The Ivorian is the only major name to be omitted by Postecoglou, who now has so many midfield options.

Chris Jullien is also included in the squad as he continues to try to assimilate back into the squad after being missing for a year with a knee injury.
