David de Gea 'wanted' by David Beckham's Inter Miami and more Manchester United transfer rumours

David Beckham wants to sign former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea at MLS franchise Inter Miami - according to reports - after the Spaniard reportedly turned down a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

De Gea remains without a club after leaving United this summer. The long-serving goalkeeper spent 12 years with United and made 545 appearances for the Premier League giants in all competitions.

However, as his Old Trafford rebuild continues, former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag decided there was no place for De Gea between the posts moving forward. United released the Spaniard and signed Andre Onana for £47million.

De Gea is thought to have rebuffed interest from Saudi Arabia this summer and, as per the latest reports, has also turned down a $500,000-per-week offer to make the move there mid-season. The Sun flag up interest from Miami and indicate Beckham will do everything he can to snap up the 33-year-old goalkeeper.

The MLS franchise Beckham co-owns have already made several high-profile signings in the last few months such as Barcelona heroes Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi. The article suggests De Gea would be open to a transfer Stateside, but the player and his family were not so keen on a switch to Saudi Arabia.

Elsewhere, reports from The Express state United could test the waters with Everton after their 10-point deduction from the Premier League after being found guilty of FFP breaches. It could be that the Toffees have to cash in on one or two players following that sanction through an independent commission.
