Darts: Ricky Evans' world's fastest 180 is incredible to watch

Darts is a sport where all the players have their own, unique throwing style, with different speeds, grips and rhythms, although the technical aspects are all there.

We are blessed to see some special darts players in today’s game, with some providing us with plenty of entertainment over the years.

One man who is certainly focussed on entertaining is Ricky Evans, who goes by the nickname ‘Rapid’ and certainly lives up to the name.

It’d take someone brave to argue against Evans being the fastest tungsten thrower on the professional tour, with his speed often too quick for the camera operators and the commentators, although Rapid is very sharp.

To an outsider, darts may look like a simple sport, although, mental arithmetic is a key aspect to the game, so the fact Evans can keep the match situation at the forefront whilst throwing at the speed he does is remarkable.

There are other fast throwers on tour, although the other players will struggle to keep up with the pace Evans possesses, even the likes of Michael Smith tried to slow him down, with Bully Boy struggling to keep up.

Back in 2017, Evans was taking on Smith in the World Championships, taking the first round game to a deciding set, but ultimately falling to a 3-2 defeat, however a moment in the third set stands out, with Evans producing some magic.
