Dartford manager Ady Pennock on the key role played by on-loan Leyton Orient midfielder Dan Carter in 3-2 Isthmian Premier win over Brentwood

Dartford boss Ady Pennock praised the response of on-loan midfielder Dan Carter on Saturday.

“As I've said on numerous occasions, Eddie's the best finisher at the club - maybe the league.

“But we just want to keep him fit and hungry. He’s had his niggles but he showed what character he's got by coming off the bench and scoring that goal.”

It was a remarkable game at Princes Park as Dartford raced into a 2-0 lead, the opening goal coming after a minute from Sam Okoye.
