Darren Fletcher press conference LIVE Ruben Amorim sack reaction and Man United updates

Interim Manchester United manager Darren Fletcher will address the media this afternoon after Ruben Amorim was sacked on Monday.

It has been a turbulent couple of days for the Reds which started after the Leeds draw when Amorim essentially urged the board to either back him or sack him. United chose the latter and the following morning he was gone.

Fletcher, who has been the manager of the U18s, will step up to take charge of the side as they travel to relegation-threatened Burnley on Wednesday night. Before then, the Scot will be conducting media duties in what is likely to be a compelling press conference.

There will be plenty of reaction to Amorim's sacking as well as questions around what we can expect to see from his United side. We will also discover whether any players will be fit to return to the squad for this midweek clash. Kobbie Mainoo, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes all missed the draw with Leeds through injury.

Under-21s head coach Travis Binnion and academy coach Alan Wright, who recently joined from Manchester City, will also step up to form part of Fletcher's first-team staff.
