Michael Carrick press conference LIVE Man United team news, Arsenal injury updates
Manchester United interim head coach Michael Carrick will be back in front of the media this afternoon with plenty to discuss ahead of Sunday's trip to Arsenal in the Premier League.
On Thursday evening, the Reds announced midfielder Casemiro would be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season. The 33-year-old's contract will expire at the end of this campaign and while United do have a clause to extend his stay by a further 12 months, it will not be activated.
Carrick will likely be asked about the Brazilian as well as previewing the visit to the Emirates Stadium this weekend. United are set to be without Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee for the game as both men missed the derby and were not captured in training footage on Wednesday.
Noussair Mazraoui suffered disappointment with Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final last weekend and was granted additional time off to recover. The defender was expected to return to Carrington before the end of the week and could be in the squad which travels to Arsenal.

After announcing he would be leaving at the end of the season, Casemiro said:
I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life. From the first day that I walked out at this beautiful stadium, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the love that I now share with our supporters for this special club. It is not time to say goodbye; there are many more memories to create during the next four months. We still have a lot to fight for together; my complete focus will, as always, remain on giving my everything to help our club to succeed.
