Dapo Afolayan, Dion Charles & Jon Dadi Bodvarsson efforts up for Bolton Wanderers goal of season

A total of 13 Bolton Wanderers strikes have been nominated for the club's goal of the season.

Wanderers conclude their League One campaign this Saturday when they host Fleetwood Town at the University of Bolton Stadium and are seeking to end the season with a top 10 finish.

Ian Evatt's side have scored 86 goals in all competitions this season and there have been some memorable strikes since the start of August.

Now, Wanderers have launched a vote for supporters to decide on which goal should be crowned as the club's strike of the season after a selection overseen by the club's management team.

Top scorer Dapo Afolayan has four nominations for his efforts this season, with strikes against Oxford United, his second versus Ipswich Town and Shrewsbury Town goal in League One all making the list, as well as the opening goal against Rochdale in the Papa John's Trophy.

Josh Sheehan's opening day free-kick against MK Dons is also nominated, as well as Elias Kachunga's equaliser versus Cheltenham Town at the end of November.

Into 2022, Dion Charles' magnificent first goal for the Whites and winner against Shrewsbury Town in January amkes the list, as does Kieran Lee's effort in the 6-0 thrashing of Sunderland.

Marlon Fossey's only goal of loan spell from Fulham is included from the away win over Oxford, as does Amadou Bakayoko's strike which sealed all three points at the Kassam Stadium.

Aaron Morley's peach of a curling effort to give Wanderers the lead in the away win over Gillingham is a nominee, as is Jon Dadi Bodvarsson's pinpoint header which earned Wanderers a draw on the road against Wigan Athletic.
